Judith Ann Wilcox, Baroness Wilcox (born 31 October 1940) is a Conservative member of the House of Lords. From May 2010 to September 2012 she had been a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State in the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.〔(Conservative Party website )〕〔(BIS - Ministers - Baroness Wilcox )〕 She used to run a family business in Devon and was chair of the National Consumer Council from 1990 to 1996. On 16 January 1996, she was made a life peer as Baroness Wilcox, of Plymouth in the County of Devon.〔 〕〔(UK Parliament - Baroness Wilcox )〕 Between 1997 and 2006 she held a non-executive director position on the board of Cadbury Schweppes.〔 Baroness Wilcox is a Trustee of the Community of St Mary the Virgin,〔(Charity Commission website )〕 one of the oldest surviving Religious Communities in the Church of England. ==Expenses== In July 2015 Wilcox was criticised for claiming £300 a day in House of Lords attendance allowances, £74,400 over two years, even though she could walk there from her house only two hundred yards away.
